If you know me, besides being obsessive about my sea glass I am also obsessive about clean and shiny sea glass jewelry. I made this sea glass pendant and bracelet in the spring of 2006. A dear friend of mine surprised me and purchased them from my web site in the summer of "06". She wears them all the time. She is well traveled and sported her Danielle Renee' Jewelry all over Europe. She has gone swimming with it, showered, slept with it on. All the things she shouldn't do. The fact is sterling silver tarnishes. I made these pieces before I found Argentium sterling silver.
I saw her in December and she was still wearing her jewelry. It wasn't in very good shape. But she was so cute when she said she never takes it off. Well... she did take it off and I took it home to salvage, if I could. I put it through my own vigorous cleaning process. Sent it back to her in South Carolina so she would have it for Christmas. It looked like new!!!
Never think it is too late for your sea glass jewelry to be made new again. If it is a Danielle Renee' just send me an email and I will take care of it.
A little dilemma could have been a big problem, but because I sought the advice of one who knows better things turned out great.
I had purchased 2 lbs. of stainless steel shots from a vendor. They accidently shipped me the wrong kind. They sent carbon shots and I didn't know this until I was tumbling and saw very brown water. First instinct was panic...then I called the vendor who put his engineer on the phone. he told me to empty the water and rinse out the tumbler and the items I was cleaning. He then instructed me to start fresh and add some liquid TIDE. These pieces had a mirror finish when I was through. Beautiful! Thank you for your help. I now have stainless steel shots and continue to use my liquid TIDE!
At times problems may be a blessing in disguise
Artisan's tip for the day~When drilling sea glass I have found that a Dremel drill works best using a diamond bit. It is much easier if you use the drill press with it. It takes a lot of patience, but keep at it you will get knack :>.

Sometimes I forget how extremely rare my sea glass collection is, until I check around a bit and take a second look at what I have. This is set is so rare and has really worked up nicely. I am pleased with the outcome with my signature bracelet design.
Day or night there is nothing like a stroll on the beach.
Isn't the Atlantic beautiful? Tom and I returned today from celebrating our 31st wedding anniversary.
We've been to some wonderful places, but we always seem to return to a beach somewhere. Unfortunately no sea glass was found on this trip, however I received an order for a custom piece from Judy in Sebastian FL while I was there. It is an awesome piece. It's a large, thick piece of aqua sea glass. It was once the bottom of a bottle. You can still read the embossed letters on the bottom with a magnifying glass. It reads "WINTER HAVEN". Now the fun begins trying to research what may have been bottled in Winter Haven, FL. The piece was found on Sannibel Island. Judy wants her fabulous find wrapped in gold.
